Vi nyasa with Eva

The term Vinyasa derives from the Sanskrit roots Vi = to place and Nyasa = in a special way. In her classes Eva spontaneously arranges

the ancient yogic tools and invites you on a meditative, physical journey through the body, mind and heart. Her classes include dharana / dhyana (meditation - focused / unfocused), mudra (gestures), pranayama (breath), asana (phyiscal posture), yoga nidra / nyasa (placing of awareness on different body parts). Over the last 20 years she studied with Lara Martelli, Felix Ruckert (Contemporary Dance), Daniel Odier (Kashmir Shaivism), Louisa Sear (Yoga Arts), at the KYM (Krishnamarchaya Institute), Sri Nanda Kumar (Iyengar), Dayananda Ashram (Vedanta), David Swenson (Ashtanga), Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea, Sianna Sherman, Sally Kempton, Clive Sheridan and others. In 2015 Eva founded Sri Yoga Shala, since 2018 she offers 200hour Yoga Alliance accr. Yoga Teacher Trainings.

IYENGAR YOGA

With Larisa

Iyengar is an alignment based type of Hatha Yoga which uses Props to support and assure that you find the correct alignment and therefore reap the full benefits in the poses. It is a useful practice for everyone - beginner to advanced student.

Larisa began her career in professional sports, first in track-and-field athletics followed by rugby. After she developed problems with her joints and spine, Larisa started to search for a way to address her physical issues and studied classical massage and Iyengar yoga.

She completed an Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training with the Russian Iyengar Yoga Association, attended seminars and conferences with BKS (founder) and Geta Iyengar, In the meantime she is leading teachers herself.

Classes with Chris

Chris loves to explore what the body and mind can do and where it can take you. His classes combine dynamic or slower paced „flows“ with strengthening exercises. They are full body practices which will leave you feeling stronger and energised. Dance flow incorporates contemporary movement however it happens on the mat, as well. Chris is a qualified Dancer, Yoga Teacher and fitness instructor. He lives in Sri Lanka since 2004 when he came to assist in the tsunami aftermath and ran dance, movement and sport- based community projects for affected youths.
